What did you not like about the RX 6800?Įdit: Also wanted to note that here in Australia, it is a lot harder to find good used stuff, and a lot of the time it is very similar prices to buying new. I will consider getting more storage at a later point. 8 or 9 games at once is probably fine, I can always uninstall them and reinstall later. I will definitely keep an eye out for used 3070's, seeing them around $550 AUD right now (~$80 AUD more than the 6700XT). I've heard 32GB of RAM is good for video editing, something I like to do. In my opinion the RTX works better, also if you are just gaming.ġ Tb of storage is okay, but you can't have more than ~8-9 of AAA games, like Starfield. If you buy it used, it is cheaper than 16GB new.įor GPU, as it was already said, RTX cards like 2080ti/3070 are kinda cheap on the used market.įor the perfomance, I was gaming on an RX 6800 and changed to RTX 3070. To be on the safe side for the future, probably 32GB would be nice. Is it just that the one you chose is modular? Does having a modular PSU really change anything? Also, isn't the SSD you chose in your version of the build still 1TB?įor Budget Builds, it is always a good thought to take some used parts.įor Ram, 16GB is sufficient for now. What is the difference between the PSU you chose and the one that was already in the build. Since I'll mostly be using the PC for gaming, and I'm not THAT serious about the productivity stuff, it's probably better value for me to buy an AMD card for a lower price, AND higher performance that happens to include Starfield. I've checked used prices for Nvidia GPU's here, most of the time they somehow manage to be even more expensive than buying new. But in AU? Yeah the prices are piss poor, you really only have used market to go to for that, you might be able to snag RTX 3070 or 2080Ti at that price in used market. And 144Hz monitor is also nice, although for Unreal and Blender you really want to get Nvidia GPU and run off CUDA and Optix respectively.
